About DELTA M Corporation
Process Instrumentation for Demanding Applications
DELTA M Corporation was established in 1983 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee as one of the first Department of Energy (DOE) technology transfers from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Since then, DELTA M has established a strong and vibrant business based on patented technologies in the flow, level, and temperature industry.
DELTA M Corporation continues to design, develop, manufacture, and market unique fluid flow, level, temperature measurement, and nuclear reactor power products using proprietary and patented thermal-based technologies. Because of our extensive experience and expertise in thermal measurement technology and high quality manufacturing we are able to develop, manufacture, and market innovative state of the art instruments.
A common thread of Delta M’s product offerings is our basis in superior thermal measurement. Our very first products were in nuclear reactor core coolant level monitoring using small diameter differential thermocouples fabricated using unique and proprietary technology. To qualify as a nuclear grade supplier, we developed a Nuclear Grade Quality Assurance Program meeting the demanding 10CFR50, Appendix B requirements.
Other common threads of Delta M’s offerings are the diversification paths into new markets, new applications, new geographies, and new channels of distribution.
Subsequent to supplying thermal based reactor core cooling sensors to the nuclear market, a simple liquid level switch was introduced to the process industries. Applications in tank, vessel, and sump liquid level detection provide for safe process operations avoiding spills and overflows.
Flow switches for liquid and gas applications soon followed the level switch products. Pump protection and assuring flow/no flow in various industrial processes expanded the Delta M product reach.
Through acquisition, Delta M expanded our Thermal Device Product offerings to include Mineral Insulated Cable (MIC) production and an array of specialized thermocouple fabrication. Small diameter (< .032 inch) thermocouples are fabricated for individual use or drawn into multipoint assemblies for various applications in industry, turbine testing, and research.
As we developed our reputation for reliable, high-quality products, customers from over the globe sought to procure our offerings. Today Delta M does business in nearly every major geographic market in the world.
Reliable quality products have attracted the attention of other suppliers in the industry. Over the years, Delta M has licensed products to competitors, brand labeled products for specific vendors, and have become an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) for still other vendors in the process instrumentation marketplace.
Delta M will continue to seek growth through superior customer service and satisfaction by solving real world application problems. Let us help you today!
